Sexual Harassment is defined as “any unwelcome sexually motivated behaviour, whether directly or by implication, involving physical contacts or advances, demand for sexual favours, sexually tainted remarks, and other unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal expressions of a sexual nature that affect women’s right to work in a congenial environment at the workplace.”
The objective is to create awareness about equality and the need for respectful relationship between the sexes, to disseminate information on the procedure for reporting sexual harassment issues, to develop guidelines and norms for dealing with issues of sexual harassment, if and when reported.
