About The Department
Guidance and Counselling Centre is providing one year post graduate diploma in Guidance and Counselling degree from the Kolhan University Chaibasa. This course comprises of two semester. Semester -1 consisting of 3 papers & Semester -2 consisting of 2 papers.
It organises workshop, seminar & counseling session for students. The Centre provides positive and congenial environment where students can interact freely with the counsellor. It’s also aim to develop insight, wellbeing and self-understanding to resolve conflict in all walks of life.
Vision & Mission of the Department
The Centre for guidance and Counselling is to provide social, emotional, academic, behavioral and psychological support to all students and empower them for holistic development of personality.
The Centre of guidance and Counselling is providing personal and career counselling to all students. It organises counselling camps for getting help to overcome the barriers to a happier life in different schools and colleges.

Departmental Activity
College Counselling Club – CCC is designed to increase the professional aptitude and skills of our Psychology and Counseling students. Its purpose is to increase the knowledge and goodwill of Psychology through positive engagements and programs.
Educational Tour – By participating in an educational tour, students gain first-hand exposure to different cultures, historical sites, and natural landscapes. An educational tour places the students in different socio-cultural environments where they encounter new people and witness regional practices. These interactions teach them to accept diversity. Thus, enhancing their communication skills, sense of teamwork, and building a community among students. School excursions have a positive impact on students’ personal and academic development. They enhance the learning experience, improve social skills, boost confidence, provide cultural enrichment, and improve academic performance. It is important for educators to incorporate school excursions into their syllabus.
