Dr. Abdul Latif Mondal

BIOGRAPHY
Abdul Latif Mondal is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Philosophy, Karim City College, Jashedpur, India. He obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in philosophy from Aligarh Muslim University. He received a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Department of Philosophy in 2020 from Aligarh Muslim University. He received the Junior Research Fellowship of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research, New Delhi for the year of 2016-2018. His research interests lies in the intersection of phenomenalism, philosophy of mind, and the science of mind. He has been invited by the Great Hall of the People 24th World Congress of Philosophy, China (2018). He was a member of the Bertrand Russell Society, Canada (2020). He has published research papers in national and international journals and participated and presented papers in various national and international seminars, conferences, and congress. He has participated and presented a paper at the 25th World Congress of Philosophy held at Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy, in 2024. He has also chaired a session on “Philosophy of Culture” at the 25th World Congress of Philosophy, 2024. He has also participated and presented a paper at the 24th World Congress of Philosophy held at Peking University, China in 2018. A paper titled Bertrand Russell on Sensations and Images was presented at the Bertrand Russell Society’s Online Annual Meeting at Central Connecticut State University, Great Britain, 2020. He has received certificate for achieving second position at B.A (Hons) level (2012). He also received a university post-graduate merit scholarship (2013). He has completed a few online courses related to his field of research from various universities.
