About the department

The Department of Bangla started its journey since the inception of Karim City College in the year 1961. The Bangla department is the oldest Department of the college as well as one of its most prosperous Department. The department has been a window for the young learners to the highly rich and varied of Bangla literature. The department has the provision of four years Honors (Major), MDC and General Course. The faculty consists of one full time Assistant Professor and one Guest Lecturer.

The department conduct class test in every three Months, so that the students get well prepared for final exam. After passing out from the Department of Bangla of this college many students have achieved their goal and have been providing their valuable services to the society as Professors, Teachers, Journalists and Political personalities. The Bangla Department has successfully groomed the student and helped them to get settled in life.

To provide scientific insight about the utility of understanding language in general and literature of the Bengali speaking people in particular. Underlying the mission is to evaluate language and literature as creative genius of humankind.
