Karim City College organized an exciting video-making competition titled “Campus Reel Challenge 2026” on 20th May 2026 at the Information Technology Lab. The event was conducted by the Department of Information Technology and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students.
The programme began at 11:00 A.M. and was smoothly hosted by Annu Kumari, a student of B.Sc IT Semester-III. The event commenced with a warm welcome speech delivered by Dr. Anwar Shahab, Co-ordinator of the Department of Computer Applications and Department of Information Technology. In his address, he encouraged students to explore their creativity and technical skills through digital media platforms.
A sapling and memento were presented to the chief guest as a mark of respect and appreciation. One of the main attractions of the event was the video presentation segment, where six one-minute videos created by students were showcased before the audience. The presentations reflected creativity, teamwork, and innovative storytelling skills among the participants.
The judge of the event was Dr. Tufail Ahmad, HOD, Department of Physics, Karim City College who appreciated the efforts of the students and delivered an inspiring speech while announcing the judgement. His encouraging words motivated the participants to continue developing their creative and technical talents.
In the competition, the first prize was jointly awarded to Disha Kumari and Binita Gagrai of B.Sc IT for their outstanding video presentation. The second prize was secured by Gaurav Kumar (BCA), Ayush Sharma (BCA), Sagar Ray (BCA) and Soubhik Debnath (B.Sc IT) for their impressive teamwork and creative performance.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Sagar Ray of BCA Semester 1, who expressed gratitude to the organizers, guests, participants, and audience for making the event successful.
The “Campus Reel Challenge 2026” proved to be an engaging platform for students to display their talent and creativity.
