Centre for Academic Development
The Centre for Academic Development (CAD) was established by the college with the aim of strengthening the atmosphere of academic excellence.
CAD organised its first lecture on 27 July, 1996 on the topic of Blood Group in Zoology, delivered by Dr Manzar Hasnain, who was Head of Zoology Department at the time. Since its inception, CAD has hosted over 50 lectures on various topics through the years.
The aim of CAD is to foster a research-oriented approach among teachers. CAD frequently organizes seminars and symposiums on topics of various educational interests and departments, ranging from Political Science, History, Hindi, Management, Urdu, and various other disciplines.
It provides a platform for faculty members of the College to present their research. Scholars and experts from different fields also present their papers under the banner of CAD.
Under the able leadership of its Coordinator, Dr. Sandhya Sinha, the Centre is dedicated to the development of an inter-disciplinary approach to academics. The lectures that it organises are attended by both faculty members and students.
