To commemorate “World Youth Skills Day” the Department of Information Technology Karim City College organised a Design and develop: Website Challenge” for BCA and B.Sc IT students in the Information Technology Laboratory on 18th July 2026 Saturday. The programme begin at 10:00 a.m. and was smoothly hosted by Ainan Talha, a student of B.Sc IT semester-3. The event commenced with a warm welcome speech delivered by Dr. Anwar Shahab coordinator of the Department of Computer Applications and Department of Information Technology. In his address he encouraged students to explore their creativity and technical skills through digital media platforms.
The competition aimed to foster creativity technical competence and innovation in website development students participated individually as well as in teams of two and were tasked with designing and developing original website using HTML and CSS within the stupulated time.
The event was judged by Ms. Kanchan Bala formal faculty member of the Department of Information Technology Karim City College and research scholar at NIT Jamshedpur. a sapling and memento were presented to the chief guest as a mark of respect and appreciation. She appreciated the participants inthusiasm and evaluated the projects on the basis of originality, design, functionality, coding standards and overall presentation.
After keen competition Ritik Gorasawa and Piyush Mishra of BCA emerged as the winners while Saurabh Batra and Ainan Talha of B.sc IT secured the runners-up position.
The competition was organised by faculty members including Ms Ratna Pandey and Ms Sudha Kumari.
The competition served as a meaningful celebration of ‘World Youth skills Day’ by highlighting the importance of digital skills and creativity among young learners.
