In order to ensure smooth functioning of the teaching and learning process and in an effort to make the campus free from any gender bias, Women?s Cell has been constituted as per the norms of the UGC. The cell is authorized to take up issues related to the women/girl students. The cell organizes different programs to sensitize the students in general and girl students in particular with regard to gender specific issues. The cell has women staff members, girls students and parent representative in its structure.

Womens Cell organized its third annual lecture/ talk Plaiting Ideas : Women and Well Being on 12th September 2015. This year the topic was De-gendering Youth : Toward overcoming gender-bias in an Unequal World The speakers honouring this occasion were Dr Jagdish Mirshra, Retd. Prof. of Jamshedpur Workers College, Mr Nishant Akhilesh, Advocate of Corporate Law, Kolkata High Court and State President (Jharkhand) PUCL and Mrs Chandra Sharan, Senior Manager, Communications, Corporate Safety and Health and Convenor of SWATI (Women Employment Cell of TATA STEEL).
