Language Resouce Centre

Language acquisition is the need of today and it will be an added asset for a student if he or she has got perfection in a language. Being multilingual he or she will surely have an edge.

Driven by this idea the Language Resource Centre was established in 2006 to cater the need of language learners. Under the technical assistance from Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) Mysore a state of the art Lingua-Lab was set up in 2007 which is first of its kind in the eastern region.

LRC targets to augment the academic excellence of the students and to ensure better career opportunities as vistas are opening up in multiple fields. To cater this need LRC is presently running certificate course in FOREIGN LANGUAGES, TRIBAL LANGUAGES and ENGLISH.

Apart from catering the linguistic need of the students and providing all possible solutions in speech communication, the LRC plans to become a hub of all languages learners, scholars and experts to and to convert it into an Advanced Centre for Translation and Tribal Languages.

Lingua Lab : Having the capacity for accommodating 20 students at one time, the lingua lab is located in a well-furnished , air-conditioned and acoustically treated hall. It consists of 20 cabins for students and a teacher?s console. The student?s cabin is equipped with inbuilt recording and receiving system, a head phone and a VGA monitor. The teachers console is fully loaded with all hardware and software and is connected with the student cabins.

Be it a question of attaining perfection in a language or acquiring languages for areas and purpose like Audio-visual media, Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Industry, IT, Public speaking, Group discussion, Interviews, Teaching or even seeking jobs in multinational companies the lingua lab will prove effective.
