The college has established a Regional Field Unit (RFU) of National Testing Service India (NTS-India) a statutory body of Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) Mysore.

Testing and evaluation is an important part of an educational system. As an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, the NTS aims at the formulation of a concept based continuum of graded syllabi and to do extensive R&D for devising testing and evaluation tools and techniques for languages at present and for other subjects in future.

Karim City College has been earmarked as an RFU for Urdu and is supposed to create a panel of experts for testing and evaluation by arranging training programs and workshops. Those experts will be involved to create a huge pool of questions and to develop testing and evaluation tools for Urdu.

The RFU looks forward to a revolutionary phase in the field of universalization of syllabus and standardization of question papers at all level.
