Department of Zoology has qualified , knowledgeable & skilled faculty members,Prescribed courses of the university are followed.Students have given best results in the university.Department has well developed laboratory and research corner along with the latest instruments for practical and rersearch work.we have a departmental library also having textbook, reference books and journals for the use of students as well as teachers.For efficient learning our faculty use power point presentation, overhead projector as audio visual aids.latest models are alsoused as learning process.Faculty members have attend ed refresher programme offered by other universities.We also arrange our own departmental programes time to time.Faculty members have organised departmental seminar and workshop.Resource person are invited .In such seminar and workshop.

The session 2012 2013 started in the month of August 2012 with a General Induction Programme in which the new batch of students were addressed by the Principal and the various faculty in-charges,and were introduced to the faculty members,activities,regulations, culture and ethos of the campus.
ACTIVITIES :
- Following this, the department organized its own Induction session for the students on Monday the 6th of August wherein the students were introduced to the history of the department, its annual schedule of academic and co-curricular activities, its faculty members, and its senior batches of students.The session also involved an explanation to them of the structure of their syllabus, the course division among the faculty members and the recommendation of a basic reading list.
- On the 25th of September, Saturday, a Fresher s Party was organized by the seniors students of the Department to welcome the new batch of juniors.The occasion was attended by the Principal, all the faculty members of the department along with teacher s from other departments was included, among other games and activities, an extempore competition to determine the most talented juniors to be graced with the title of Miss and Master Fresher respectively.
- On 9th December 2012, Saturday, the annual Departmental student test was held for the students of B.Sc Part I & B.Sc Part III students.They were allotted topic from their syllabus more than one month in advance.
- The test was pattern in accordance with the university examination and 3 hours time allowed to students to answer 100 marks paper.The answer sheet were evaluated by the teacher of the respective papers & submitted to the department depending to the performance of the students.Measure were announced by the head for improvement including the announcement of extra classes on certain topic and of counseling of the students by the faculties members.
- On the 7th January of 2013 parents- teachers meeting of B.Sc Part I (Hons) students was held and discussed the performance of their ward regarding attendance, discipline and class test performance.
- On 7th Feb 2013 students of B.Sc part I (Hons) went on a educational visit to Zoological park at Jamshedpur.
- On 28th Feb 2013 National Science Dy was observed by B.Sc Part I (Hons), B.Sc Part II (H) & B.Sc Part III(H) students .All the faculties members and teachers of other science department attended the same.
- On 30th March 2013 Saturday, the senior students of department were given the farewell party by their junior batches, It was planned by the faculty members from the department as well.The programme was highly entertaining and successful.
