"RECONNECT" is an initiative by the Department of Mass Communication - Video Production, Karim City College Jamshedpur to re connect the alumni of the department with their alma mater to share their professional and personal journey so far. This series has took off last year June 2020 during lockdown with 15 alumni sharing their stories. It has received overwhelming response from the students as they were presented with valuable insights and insider's view of media and entertainment Industry.

Reconnect 2021 is the second season of the series starting from 13th June, Sunday.

The invited alumnus is Sourabh Suman Jha of 2005-2008 batch. He is an accomplished actor and director. He is credited with than 20 corporate films, 10 short films and two full length feature films. He is first to direct a Bhojpuri commercial feature film Gangster Dulhania that has been completely shot in Jharkhand. His film is first to be distributed by biggest distributor of Bangla film Industry, SVF and get release in over 200 multiplex theatres. This film has been recently bought by T-SERIES. Currently Sourabh is working on a web episode on Jamshedpur City. He will speak on the step-by-step process of Film Making.
