Global need of the excellent and responsible media professionals is increasing day by day . The department of Mass Communication-Video Production, Karim City College is striving to cater this need. We recognize media as a noble profession with lots of social responsibility. Our motive is to prepare the bridge of such professionals who can raise the present standard of journalism.

We express our gratitude to UGC, which by the way of scrutiny and screening selected this college for the teaching in Mass Communication and video Production from the academic year1997-98. Karim City College is the first institution to have this discipline in the state Jharkhand. The objective of the department was to promote graduates who will be readily available and acceptable to the print and electronic media. Students are trained for successful entrepreneurship as well. We are pleased to share with you that our graduates are working with almost all leading newspapers, television and radio channels.

The department is providing all necessary infrastructure and facilities. We invite many experts of media field to interact with the students. Workshops and seminars by experienced professionals are the regular features of the departments . We help our students to discover their creative talent by organizing various competitions.Department always tries to be parallel with the industry as far as infrastructure is Concerned. The department is giving 100% first class result since last five years. Keeping all our achievements in mind, Kolhan University, Jharkhand, Chaibasa, has given us permission to start Post Graduation in Mass Communication from session 2010-11. We believe that the students pursuing media as their career option are ready to face the challenges of the industry. Our graduates have shown their potential in the past 15 years. We hope that Post Graduation in Mass Communication will also carve their niche in coming years.
